No. Curatio connects to your media server over your local network or the internet. Your files stay on your server.
Curatio runs on Apple TV (4th generation and later) and iPhone (iOS 17 and later).
Curatio analyses the audio of episodes in the background to detect repeated segments like intros and credits. No microphone is used — only the stream audio is processed.

What we collect. Curatio does not collect personal data, usage analytics, or telemetry by default. The app operates entirely between your device and your chosen media server.
iCloud sync. If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your app preferences (server configuration, language preferences, display settings) are synced via your personal iCloud account. This data is not accessible to Curatio.
Local network. Curatio requests local network access to discover and connect to media servers on your home network. No data from your local network is transmitted to any Curatio server.
Credentials. Your server credentials are stored exclusively in your device's secure Keychain and are never transmitted to or stored by Curatio.
Third-party servers. When you connect to a media server or add-on, you are subject to that service's own privacy policy. Curatio is not responsible for third-party data practices.
Children. Curatio is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
